Scholarships
Did you receive financial support when you attended college? Could you have used financial help when you were in graduate school? Do you know anyone who stayed in school due to a scholarship? If you answered “yes,” to any of these questions, then you know the value of a scholarship – even a small one.
Today more than ever scholarships help students meet costs associated with their educations. One of DAP’s main commitments is to provide scholarships to deserving undergraduate and graduate students who are members in good standing of NPC sororities. Most years these scholarships total $5,000.
Through dues DAP collects about $1,500 per year that is earmarked for the scholarship fund. Each year the Scholarship Fundraising Committee is tasked with raising about $3,500. These funds are raised through a “Phantom Event” – rather than hold an expensive fundraiser, we call upon sorority women to give what they can. Donations range from $1 to $100 and more.

Scholarship Application Form
The deadline for applications for 2012 scholarships that will be presented at the Awards Luncheon in the Spring of 2012 will be March 1, 2012.
