WOMAN OF THE YEAR

Celinda Miranda-LaBella, Sigma Sigma Sigma, 2023 Woman of the Year

The Woman of the Year Award recognizes a sorority woman primarily for her dedication to Panhellenic and her member organization. In selecting an award recipient, the Alumnae Awards Committee weighs Panhellenic and member organization activities by 70% and career, church, and community involvement activities by 30%.

Each local alumnae organization of a National Panhellenic Conference member organization may nominate one woman for this award. If a member organization has multiple alumnaeorganizations in the area, only one nomination may be submitted.

In the event that a nominee's sorority does not have a local organization, any member in good standing (other than the nominee herself) may complete the nomination process.

The Alumnae Awards Committee requests that the president of the alumnae organization, or her designee complete the nomination process and include a personal letter of recommendation for the nominee. The letter will help the Alumnae Awards Committee develop a biography to read at the Spring Awards Luncheon.
